My story

I was never lazy. I had ADHD and no name for it.

I was diagnosed at 33. This is the short version of why I'm here.

Where I grew up

I grew up in a remote village in Kerala. I was the boy who was always late to school.

The boy who lost his things

I lost my stuff all the time. Pens, books, whatever I was carrying. It happened so often that it became part of who people thought I was.

The boy who couldn't follow maths

In maths class, I could not follow what was happening. Everyone else seemed to understand. I didn't. I thought something was wrong with me, and the word people used was lazy.

That lazy boy who was always late at school, who lost his stuff, who couldn't understand anything in a maths class.

Thirty-three

When I was 33, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Now everything makes sense.

It did not change the past. It changed how I read it.

Why this page exists

This is where I share what it actually feels like, what helped me, and what I wish someone had told me. Stories, small things to try, and how to get assessed properly in India.

I'm keeping my face out of it for now. The story matters more than who is telling it.

What this page is not

It is not a clinic. I can't diagnose you or advise on medication. Only a qualified psychiatrist or clinical psychologist can assess ADHD.
